About The Black Excellence Network
Black Excellence Network CIC is a social enterprise which provides mentorship and consultancy services to black students in the UK. We desire to increase the participation of black students in top universities, apprenticeships and careers in the UK. We achieve our aims through our consultancy and mentorship service.
We provide our members with a wide range of professional and academic guidance through our unique consultancy service. This ranges from personal statement assistance to internship application help. The Black Excellence Network mentorship scheme is for UK based Year 13 students who are aspiring for competitive institutions and degrees. Mentees have the opportunity to be matched with undergraduate mentors who will help them in their UCAS and application journey. Within a year, The Black Excellence Network has built a large community of over 6,400 students across their social media, newsletters, and website, providing key career and higher education information to thousands of young black people across the UK.
About BADU
BADU offers unparalleled support to families, schools and local systems that are designed to enrich the lives of all generations. Our inclusive, trusted and first class sports programme is used as a vehicle of engagement for the younger generation. The programme has produced some of the country’s finest athletes, some of whom have progressed onto compete in the elite divisions.
BADU mentors have first hand experience of some of the challenges London life can throw at society. With this in mind, they can offer group and one to one mentoring schemes to anyone who needs real life, unconditional, non-judgemental back up.
