In 2021, two organisations, the Black Excellence Network and BADU Sports, embarked on an extraordinary journey. Driven by a shared vision to provide enhanced support for young black individuals and dismantle barriers of opportunity, they began on the creation of the Project 2% Conference 2022.

 

Guided by a common purpose, the leaders of both organisations journeyed towards Project 2%, equipped with unwavering determination, innovation, and a spirit of collaboration. Following this, a team comprising of students and esteemed experts was assembled, with the objective of crafting an annual conference that would ignite the aspirations of black students and graduates across various industries. In September 2022, the vision of Project 2% materialised into reality—a momentous occasion symbolised by its very name, which reflects the current representation of individuals of black heritage in leadership positions.

 

The primary goal of Project 2% is to provide a dynamic platform for black young individuals to explore diverse career paths, establish meaningful connections with black leaders, and acquire invaluable insights that will empower them to thrive in their chosen fields.
